Selection standards

At Excel Friesian Auction we are looking for Friesian foals with abundant quality. The three pillars on which the foal selection is based are:

• Correct conformation
• Interesting pedigree
• Good movement mechanism
• A maximum 5% inbreeding is required and a low degree of relatedness preferred

Excel Friesian Auction focuses on fillies that are suitable as a broodmare in the futre, colts that are possible stallion prospects and foals specifically selected for the dressage sport.

Costs

The set-up costs for participation in the auction are €375,- excl. VAT.
What is covered in the set-up costs?

• An alluring promotion video is shot
• A professional photographer takes exquisite photos
• We write an appealing marketing text about the foal
• We develop a sophisticated marketing campaign.

  For sales in the auction an auction fee of 10% of the knock-down auction price applies. Every foal in the auction starts at 4.000 euro. Signing up a foal for the auction is obviously entirely free of charge. The foals are viewed at home or at an inspection and possibly selected for the auction. After a foal is selected for the auction, you are sent a contract per email. During the video day the foal undergoes a clinical examination by an independent veterinarian.
